Hotel Gables played host to Lord Lytton and Lady Curzon at one point of time. For those who prefer their spirits more reinforced, of course, there is a perfectly stocked bar.

Fun and games
To drain the tension of city life out of your system, our Fun n Games Department, (a group of people skilled in art of entertainment), has a series of body and mind revitalisers planned for you. The Resort is equipped with fitness amenities, and tennis and squash facilities can be readily arranged. You are also welcome in to join the treks, nature rambles, golf sessions or picnics organized by the Hotel. Once ia a while, even getting out for a walk in the hills can reveal soul stirring insights.

In and around Shimla
Tucked away so far from the demands of daily life, it seems appropriate to indulge in a bit quite introspection. So you may want to trek up to Jakhu temple, a Hanuman temple and catch the sunrise, or stop for a while at the beautiful stained glass window adorned Christ Church, which was built in the 1850's. Other interesting walks are to Scandal Corner, a place which found its way into Rudyard Kipling's writings, Prospect Hill, a favoured picnic spot, Annandale, once famous for its racecourse, but which hosts games of cricket and polo till today, and to Chadwick Falls, an impressive sight, especially in its post-monsoon fury.
