Restaurants and Entertainment at Hotel Park Hyatt Resort & Spa, Goa :
Village Plaza
Inspired by Goan villages, the picture-perfect Indo-Portuguese architectural design concept of Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa is complemented by a bustling Village Plaza and its collection of boutique restaurants, bars and stylish shops.
Set on an elevated location to exploit the sea view and the sea breeze, the Village Plaza is conceived as a sanctuary of style and indulgence and forms the heart of the resort, enticing guests to linger around to discover the unfolding panorama of a village marketplace.
Set around a courtyard, the restaurants and bars of the Village Plaza include:
Sambar - The South Indian Restaurant : Sambar, the unique South Indian restaurant, is a typical South Indian style dhaba, offering home style food from the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and the Konkan coast.
An array of South Indian cuisine, a traditional village set-up, an open kitchen with a display of brass utensils, large jars of colourful chutneys and terracotta walls make up the unique ambience of Sambar.
The menu comprises a large variety of South Indian curries, sambhar, rasam, dry and curried vegetables, pachadi (yoghurt) and rice-based dishes such as idlis and uthappams. The meals are served on a vazhaillai, a freshly cut plantain leaf, which completes a South Indian platter experience.
da Luigi - The Italian Trattoria : An ideal blend of design and style, da Luigi's contemporary interiors recreate the rustic warmth and simple charm of an Italian style trattoria. A haven of home style food, da Luigi presents traditional Italian recipes with a strong emphasis on authentic preparation and presentation. The restaurant's lunch and dinner menu comprises a wide selection of authentic pizzas, delicious pastas, fresh salads and an array of traditional dishes complemented by an exemplary selection of wines.
Market Grill - The Interactive Grill Restaurant : A contemporary open-grill, interactive restaurant, Market Grill serves the day's freshest produce: charcoal-grilled fresh seafood that includes lobsters, prawns and fish, prime cuts and vegetables. Experience the chef's seasonal menus where he transforms the freshest of ingredients into exciting flavours to suit individual taste buds.
Innovative presentation creates visual delights and this combined with Market Grill's minimalist interiors, terracotta walls and wooden furnishings offer guests an intimate dining experience. The floor-to-ceiling windows create a seamless transition, bringing the lush landscaping and water features of the Village Plaza into the restaurant.
Masala - The North Indian and Goan Restaurant : Depicting a typical Portuguese style set-up with an open-plan kitchen, Masala offers an array of delicious Goan and North Indian cuisine. The restaurant's high, vaulted ceilings, contemporary furnishing, soothing colours and traditional cuisine create a unique ambience.
Masala presents guests with a range of Indian specialities such as vegetables, dals, Indian breads and an open tandoor that provides fantastic Northern Indian cuisine. Traditionally cooked Goan delicacies include a variety of Goan curries, prawn and crab dishes amongst others.
Praia de Luz - The Wine and Cigar Bar : Located at the end of Village Plaza, Praia de Luz is the trendy wine and cigar bar. On two levels, it is the ideal place to admire the stunning sunset and the mesmerising sea.
Relax and unwind over a glass of wine or a fine cigar in an atmosphere reminiscent of traditional Portugal. Teak wood tables and chairs, illuminated by candlelight, give the bar a warm, romantic and relaxing ambience. At the centre of Praia de Luz is the bar, serving an array of beverages, spirits and New World wines from South Africa, Chile and California.
Guests can either unwind with a fine cigar at the Cosy Cigar Corner or enjoy some foot-tapping music on the dance floor.
Aquamarine - The Poolside Bar : Located at the centre of the resort, Aquamarine is the lively, open-air poolside bar, featuring a select food and beverage menu. Bar style seating and deckchairs around the pool are complemented by refreshing 'mocktails', innovative cocktails and delicious munchies - the perfect venue to unwind and relax.
BBQ - Beachside Barbeque : Nestled among the natural sand formations, the open-air restaurant offers a dramatic and ideal dining ambience. Savour the delectable cuisine that includes fresh seafood delicacies, charcoal-grilled and spit-roasted meats, hand-picked wines and delicious salads.
The Bakery : Designed in a typical European cafe style, The Bakery serves an authentic range of mouth-watering Western, Indian and Goan bakeries using the freshest ingredients. The heart of the resort during breakfast time, it offers a wide selection of cakes and pastries, an array of cookies made from imported chocolate, Goan specialities and a large assortment of fibre-enriched breads, muffins, croissants etc.
Juice Bar : Geared towards health-conscious guests, the Juice Bar offers a wide range of innovative fruit and vegetable-based drinks, milkshakes and flavoured, iced teas. During breakfast it also serves fruit platters and special fruit / vegetable cocktails.
Miranda - The Lobby Lounge : Inspired by and named after Mario Miranda, a famous cartoonist and one of the living icons of Goa, the Miranda Bar is designed like a traditional Goan mansion. Located at the Lobby level, the bar is surrounded by elements that are dear to Mario Miranda's heart - music, paintings, the arts and wines. The bar also offers a distinctive choice of fenis and whiskies.
An exquisite all-day lounge to enjoy some traditional art and music over a cup of tea or a bottle of Goan feni.
